I think Floyd will make a ton on the fight and I personally am very glad it did well, I just don't see 40 million plus in the picture for him, that's all.
Remember Mayweather decided to get his money on the back end. So that they could pay for all the undercard fights, and etc.
So no matter what basically he was getting
$1o million minimum but instead of getting paid up front, Mayweather decided to get paid on the back end. Instead banking on
P.P.V , Gate, Sponserships (reebook), Movie Sales, etc, too really make his money.
Meaning if the fight didnt sale Mayweather wouldnt have lost money.
But if it was a Huge success, Mayweather's GAMBLE would have paid off big time.
Now take into account that Several sources said that the only money guaranteed to either fighter in this event as Mayweather Promotion as the lead promoter was Juan Manuel Marquez . JMM and Golden Boy Promotion was guaranteed 4 million dollars. 3.2 to Marquez the rest to Golden Boy for delivering Marquez.
Now Mayweather as the promoter and he found out a harsh lesson here in this market place as the promoter he had to incur
the cost of 24/7, the marketing, the press tour and anything associated with that event and then after that whatever profit there is including scalping tickets which Mayweather and Al Hayman do engage in they were gonna make their money.
Now Like the POSTER who posted this comment said:
why the hell would mayweather pay for all the marketing costs and promotion costs of the fight if he wasn't taking home a significant percentage of the promoters cut???
Now Like at the Chart and Think about it like this.
With Adding Live Gate, Sponserships (reebook), Movie Sales, etc
And let's say Mayweather Promotions and Goldenboy Promotions has to
Divide 70% and HBO gets the other 30%
You know out of 70%, Mayweather Promotions is take more than the Lionshare since they paid for everything.
So 70% of 54.94 Million= 38.45 Million
and If Mayweather Promotion get let's say 80% or 70% of that 38.45 They and Goldenboy has to share...
80% of that 38.45 Million in P.P.V Revenue: that's 30 Million right there.
70% of that 38.45 Million in P.P.V Revenue: that's 26.9 Million right there.
And when havent even added into account Live Gate, Sponserships (reebook), Movie Sales, etc
That's why I say he COULD make 40-60 Million.
Maybe I should have said 30-50 Million to make you guys feel better.
but hey Whatever, I Estimating anyways
900,000 at $49.95 = 44.95 Million in P.P.V Revenue
925,000 at $49.95 = 46.20 Million in P.P.V Revenue
950,000 at $49.95 = 47.45 Million in P.P.V Revenue
975,000 at $49.95 = 48.70 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.0 Million at $49.95 = 49.95 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.1 Million at $49.95 = 54.94 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.2 Million at $49.95 = 59 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.3 Million at $49.95 = 64 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.4 Million at $49.95 = 69 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.5 Million at $49.95 = 74 Million in P.P.V Revenue
1.6 Million at $49.95 = 79 Million in P.P.V Revenue

You guys hated on this fight from day one.
even with a recession, the media trashing this fight, fans talking of boycotting and UFC competing with it all on the same night...
The Mayweather fight still did more than Pacquiao vs. Hatton and probably Pacquiao vs. Cotto
The deck was completely stacked against Mayweather and he still pull it out.
This fight proved Mayweather claim on him being a cash cow.
oh yeah..he has been off for 2 years

Mayweather has $10 million guarantee, minimum
Marquez has $3.2 million guarantee, minimum
Mayweather Promotions was also the lead promoter (Mayweather promotions paid for the 24/7 and etc) with Golden boy being co- promoter.
I mean damn Floyd Mayweather could be looking at taking home anywhere from
40- 65 Million dollars including live gate and Movie sales numbers for a fight with Juan Man. Marquez…!!!
I guess he wasn’t lying when he said he will make more money than Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto combined.!!
BETTER BELIEVE, FLOYD will be enforcing
60/40 for a fight with Pacquiao
70/30 for a fight with Cotto
and I hope 95/5 for a fight the "JUICE MAN"Mosley

I literally don't care one iota how much money Floyd is making. However, this fight selling so much is a huge boon for boxing. Hope Pac Cotto does even better.Last edited by SkillspayBills; 09-23-2009, 09:31 PM.
