Manny Pacquiao defeating Miguel Cotto was his greatest win

It was his greatest performance. I expected him to win on points but the way he demolished Cotto was incredible. That was Manny at the peak of his powers.

In terms of best win I’d actually go with Thurman in 2019. Largely because of what stage Pacquiao was at in his career at that point. I full expected Thurman to be too much for a 40 year old Pacquiao tbh. I got Duran-Barkley vibes from that performance.

Facts! Not only did Pac get Mayweather seeing him as his biggest threat, Miguel himself went on to having a big resurgence and make more money than he ever did prior

I could agree. Barrera 1 or Cotto.

The CW had to much to do with it, and I think the fact that Manny called out Cotto for his 154 title and when Cotto said no problems but no CW Manny refused to fight him without another CW was a bad look as it was still Cotto the same man, twice Manny flat refused to fight Cotto without a CW says quite a lot.

Cotto also said he would never do that to his body ever again.

I thought Mannys earlier fights were his best, destroying fighters only came with CWs and drained opponents if you take the CWs out of his career he had battles not destruction.

It is also one of Floyd Mayweather's best wins, he fought Miguel Cotto at his most comfortable weight limit of '154 pounds'.

Miguel Cotto was in good condition vs Pacquiao, but I do think he was slightly weight drained or struggling with making 145 pounds.

I honestly think those two fights, were pivotal moments in that era. Because Miguel Cotto was the other major threat to both Floyd Mayweather Junior & Manny Pacquiao etc.

According to Pauli Malignaggi, he thinks that it was Floyd Mayweather Junior vs Miguel Cotto 'That was the fight which was the Super fight of that era'.

Cotto had just been beaten to a bloody pulp the year before my Margarito for his first pro loss. Safe to say there are a few ***'s on this win.

I'd go with Margarito actually. That fight kinda took something out of Paxman. Then he got ktfo by Marquez in a badass back and forth fight

That was a terrible version of Margarito, out for 2 years for cheating, his weight went up to 190 lbs, his last fight he was KOed badly by Mosley, he had one fight in Mexico and looked like crap against a cab driver, he was refused a licence to box so Arum bought him one in texas to fight Manny.

You have to look at the form before a fight to see its quality at the time, if you just go on a fighter's name-reputation and watch the fight it's a distorted representation.
