does the general opinion even matter? either you appreciated it or you did not. either you're a fan or you're not. you like Floyd, or you like Juan. or maybe, you like both. My own opinion is that I feel very good about it. I still am a Marquez fan, and he proved he is a true boxer, a true warrior, and retains the immense respect he is given. I think PBF proved he is the best, he still has the skills, and to me, I was excited all evening.

people's minds are already made up- if you were against Mayweather, you got all the proof you needed to stay that way. if you were for him, you got all the evidence of why hes great. it will never change!

I think it was a good tune-up for Floyd, he got to go twelve rounds against a great smaller fighter. It was good to see his speed and timing is still there and that the layoff didn't hurt him. He can't be expected to take on someone like Cotto or Mosley for his first fight after nearly two years away from the ring. I tought it would be more competetive but i guess i listned to much to the GBP hype. Now i look forward to Mayweather hopefully fighting Mosley or Cotto.

Point taken. But then why discuss it if opinions don't matter, obviously people are interested in what the next person has to say. I was just curious on which way the forum is leaning.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, except he should have taken on any WW, then I don't think he would be getting **** on so much. Especially if he is going to weigh in as a WW.

so many haters against floyd. you gotta be ****** if u dont see that hes the most skilled fighter out. although i agree that hes got more work to do i.e. pac, mosley, but you honestly see him losing?? mosley would have the biggest chance of winning but thats just based on mosley bein strong not because hes a more skillful fighter. give respect where respect due.

mayweather's offense defense did impress many. but you have to weigh in the advantages. then your logic comes into play. people who like him won't put his advantages he had in play. if you are biased you don't care you don't like him. if your in the middle. you were impressed as well as understood his advantages over his smaller opponent.

**i was impressed but did understand he had way too many advantages and this wouldn't be the same pace/fight if he would have fought someone like mosley, cotto or PAC.

I'm quite pleased that Floyd's back in one way, there's no denying that he's a good fighter.

                  Just a shame that he's such a ****ing *****.

No combinations in fear of getting countered.. not vintage floyd..
was sort of like a good sparring session to be honest..
