Prob right about all this, but if boxing boards stepped in every time they deemed someone to have little chance of winning then what kind of precedent would that set?

You could make the case that a hell of a lot of even recent matches wouldn’t have happened. But more pertinently, it would obviously deny the opportunity for upsets, which are not uncommon, because you obv. have to get in the ring to prove you’re better.

Why should Browne lose the opportunity at a payday and an upset that many others have had, even if he is trash?

I agree how many mismatches does the average prospect have on their resume? Also the first step on a prospects resume is usually to fight a guy like a Browne who was a paper champion or contender who is faded. I recall Parker thrashing Botha who hadn't won anything in years and he was older than Browne is now.

The BBBoC is high on their supply and obviously feel they are untouchable, stopping a boxing event because of the death of the queen and now this is too much. I do agree that the Benn vs Eubanks fight had to be cancelled.
