Tyson Fury smiles: "Shawn Porter, a 5’7” welterweight guy beat Usyk before! Imagine what I’m gonna do to him!"

Oleksandr Usyk also got stopped by Matvey Korobov and got dropped by Artur Beterbiev in the past.

I think boxers go by more than boxrec. They actually know eachother as they come up, heard about eachother, heard about their losses, come across some of the same people sometimes.

Regardless, if I was Fury I would focus more on Usyk’s professional fights. For example the success (even short-lived) that Gassiev, Breidis, Bellew, Chisora, AJ, had. As well as the KD Usyk suffered vs Medgidov in the WSB.

While many fans will be quick to point out Fury’s KD vs Cunningham, Usyk was also KD’ed vs Medgidov in the WSB by a good body shot.

Think it's just the usual Fury trash talk. He knows a fight over a decade ago when Usyk was still a teenager has no bearing on what would happen today. Not sure Fury has the legs or stamina that he once had, but maybe he can if he loses some weight.

I'll look forward to Tyson doing all these nasty things to usyk. But what we learnt in boxing triangle theories don't work.
So even if usyk been put down by a flyweight, it don't mean a heavyweight can put usyk down

Korobov stopped him on points walkover, not an actual 'this guy is too hurt to continue' stoppage. At that time Korobov was one of the best amateurs in the world, Usyk was a teenager not yet fully grown. Both Usyk and Fury have improved a lot since 2006.

Just shows that a smaller guy can beat a bigger guy. That should scare Fury more.
