Just wanted to post my whole observation on the whole fight with the two and my thoughts about it. While I know what i say further people will either like to "flame" about it or disagree but let's discuss.
To start off, let me say that Floyd clearly dominated Marquez impressively to the point where you wonder how is Pacquiao going to stack againest him. Great showing but please let's not overlook the important details about this fight. When it was announced everyone thought it was going tobe a lopsided win for Mayweather ; at the end of the fight it was EXACTLY that. This fight was suppose tobe at 144 but Floyd decides being who he is and not working hard enough for it he disregards this. He clearly could have made weight but realized draining 2 more pounds he'll probably have trouble in the ring. This was VERY UNFAIR to Marquez - highly unfair. Another thing is Marquez was basically fighting about two weight classes ahead of his last one he's fought in. He's never fought at such a high weight againest someone who is natural there and won there before. Once again - a HUGE advantage againest Marquez. Letme say this - Marquez worked as hard as he can to be the best he could on the night considering what was stacked againest him and his age. He got dominated but he always GAME about the whole fight. HUGE respect for Marquez he deserves it.
Now with the whole Mosley incident after the fight - Mayweather should be happy that even happened. Mayweather seems to be the type that he wants pre-fight hype to sell his fights and this was obviously a great example of that. I bet you once this happened many fans around the world were already thinking Mosley-Mayweather. What better way to fight the legit number 1 WelterWeight of the world by adding some needed ****e before it happens?
But obviously the next thing Mayweather is looking for is for a mega-fight with Pacquiao assuming Pac beats Cotto [which I for one doubt he will], then he's left with options in Cotto and Mosley. I would think he picks one of the two but i'd think he'd lean to Mosley considering what happened post-fight AND the past conflicts about getting a fight and not havign it go through. If Mayweather DOESN'T fight Mosley, Cotto respect for him goes down and he'll be known for cruising at the end of his career while his skills warrent TRUE boxing fans around the world to see how he stacks againest the best in his division.
Floyd isn't a small man, he couldn't make 144 and he seemed he didn't want to bother trying. He's a natural 147 pounder fighter who should be fighting the best in HIS division instead of picking up small fighters who are stars in lower weight divisions and obviously dominate them. The size difference was so apparent it was ridiculous. Marquez clearly showed he didn't belong there - he didn't seem comfortable with the weight.
My views on the fight ; take it however you like.
