Comments Thread For: Alberto Palmetta Suffers Back Injury, Forced To Withdraw From Fight With Rashidi Ellis

Rashidi Ellis is not off to the fresh start he hoped would come with new representation. krikya360.com has learned that Argentina's Alberto Palmetta (17-1, 12KOs) has suffered a back injury and has been pulled from his planned welterweight bout with Ellis. The two were due to collide this Saturday at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, with their bout to air live on Showtime's YouTube channel preceding a televised tripleheader.

Tough break for Ellis. Rashidi has quality wins over Richard and Gomez (twice), I feel like he should be fighting as chief support to televised main events, not on the prelims. It's a shame his career hasn't taken off, he's very good.

Marinez a late replacement on that card. I guess we'll see if the Rolly fight or the Commey fight is the more accurate indicator of his level. I imagine Frank handles him easily.

        Ellis truly played himself..

his career would have been so much further along with the support of GBP & DAZN SMH

Someone see if Cody Crowley is available! Glad Ellis left Top Rank! They weren't doing jack for him!
