This guy just kills me. He really knows how to play the game. I think he came back just to piss ODLH off. What contracted weight? Screw you, Oscar.
No title and just a couple hundred thousand gs penalty is nothing compared to the weight advantage he is getting. Easy payday for Floyd win or lose. Smartest man in boxing strikes again.
PBF got cold feet when he heard how JMM looked. He was probably hoping JMM would back out.

How can you guys defend Floyd? I'm glad Marquez signed, because I still want to see the fight, but this is pretty bad. Floyd's a good fighter, but this is just unprofessional.Last edited by CrackYourJaw; 09-18-2009, 08:46 PM.

personally i just lost a lot of interest in the fight, as far as boxing goes. Business-wise, Floyd wins - he still makes a big payday even with the penalties. But boxing-wise, the fight means nothing, he's just too big to be fighting JMM. It's a lose-lose situation for him. If he wins, he beat up a smaller fighter. If he loses, he lost to a smaller fighter. I doubt he planned to come in heavy - 2 pounds isn't worth $600,000. I think the fact that he couldn't make weight says a lot about his body and his age. That's not a criticism of his skills and technique - those probably haven't faded. But the point is that he's not a young fighter anymore and his body isn't capable of things it once was.
