Liam Cameron is back in training with Chris Smedley and is considering a possible comeback.

It wasn’t mainstream news but Liam was very harshly banned for 4 years after testing positive for traces of *******. Liam strongly denied he had knowingly taken the substance yet unlike many other fighters who were let off lightly with 6-12 month bans, UKAD gave him 4 years. I think it goes to show how unfair boxing can be to the smaller guys without financial backing.

Would be a great story to see him get back and even just fight for the Commonwealth title he never lost. Still a long way to go and a lot of weight to lose but I’m rooting for Cameron to make up for the years he had taken from him.

Seen on BoxingScene this morning that, as suspected, Opetaia's next fight will likely be his IBF mandatory defence against Masternak. Where are we with the cruisers at the minute? Any chance CBS or Riakporhe get a current world champion next (including Okolie in this, as they seem to be building that as a potential summer fight, maybe at Selhurst?)

Interestingly, Sky had Riakporhe and Okolie in the studio together during Sky Sports news the other day, feels like that could be the fight they’re building to.

If I had to guess though, I’d say Okolie fights Goulamirian and Riakporhe rematches CBS in the summer.

I actually wouldn’t mind the Kovalev fight, he’s well past his best but he showed vs Pulev he’s still a decent operator.
