Comments Thread For: Canelo's Top 10: Looking Back at The P4P King's Greatest Hits

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - All of a sudden, he's a generational talent. It seems like only yesterday - or at least not too long ago - that Canelo Alvarez was a precocious phenom being touted by his promotional apparatus as a lock to be a superstar.

Taking part in fixed fights over and over and over and over is what P4P is?

Only eats taint meat medium-rare. Wouldn't want to burn off the vitamins, would we? Goes up 20 lbs on a 5'7 frame but is more cut than the natural guys in the division but he got waivers. What a joke! Really trying to think have I seen anything this fraudulent in the years I have watched boxing.

This list is horrid. BJS/ Plant are both better performances and more significant than Amir Khan, Hatton, Baldomir.

i get you not wanting to put Lara up there because Alvarez didn’t perform that well against him, but give me a break w some of these names. Lol

Where is Lara and Saunders? Should be in Canelo's top 10.

Its getting cartoonish at this point, the man went from going a hard 12 with Cotto to stopping SMWs and LHWs late in fights with one punch power lol

So this list consists of 5 guys who were between 36-40 yrs old at the time of their fights with Canelo and then Khan, Kirkland, Trout , Matthew Hatton and Callum Smith.

Definitely. I thought canelo looked poor against Hatton as well, didn’t seem to respect hattons power and his defence looked sloppy.

I’d squeeze the joseito Lopez fight in the top ten as well, not such a relevant opponent but canelo looked awesome in that fight.
