Its more myth than reality. If u hate a football team (say patriots or cowboys) or redsox, sure they will get a lot of people wanting to watch them lose but its a whole diffent story if you have to pay 50 bucks. more myth than normalcy.

The reason I hate Mayweather, since I can only speak for myself, is because he portrays the worst qualities a human being can possess. Then again, his boxing acumen & skills are beyond questionable, he's one of the best boxers in the world, if not the best. It wouldn't hurt for him to fight a real WW every now and then.
    Ali
    Frazier
    George Forman
    Ray Leonard
    Mike Tyson
    Evander Holyfield
    Pernell Whitaker
    Lennox Lewis

Yup black fighters cant be stars. thats just in boxing.

Wait until i make a list of black basketball players who cant be big stars because they are black. then there's football players.

Completely different times. I cant recall an incident where Floyd couldnt eat in a restaurant because of his colour etc. Nice try though.

Actually, Ali was hated because he did have a big mouth, he did act ****y and disrespectfully. He was hated because he changed his name to Mohamed Ali, he was hated because he dodged the draft and didn't want to go to Vietnam. He was then suspended from boxing for almost 3 years.

Ali wasn't a good example, you should have said Sugar Ray Leonard. Leonard was the opposite of Ali, he was quiet, with a nice smile. He fought for the U.S in the Olympics and won the gold medal. He was the "All American Boy" and people of all races loved him and admired him.

Leonard was the biggest thing in sports, not just boxing for a very long time. He was Oscar DeLahoya before there was a DLH.

So Mayweather is just putting his foot in his mouth once again, showing he is a product of his uncle and father. Two trashy, no class having men who were blessed with being good fighters but unfortunately don't respect the sport, anyone, each other or even themselves.....

          Ok

Hey Floyd, you know that Oscar isn't white, right?lol
I hate to admit that Jr. might be right about Larry Merchant, but he shouldn't even whisper the name of Mr. Stewart!! JMM, just aim for the mouth!

and for those that say they arent buying it, please dont tell me youre going to watch it on a piece of garbage stream. I mean, thats pathetic. go to a bar to watch it, like I am.
            or the movies.
I always thought that the connotation they put in the term today would be a kin to saying that this (black)person is sucking up to whites and loses his identity.

Outside the ring Ali actually made a social difference helping African-Americans and supporting the Nation of Islam with Malcolm X. He protested against the Vietnam War and because of it was stripped of his title and put in Prison. He was known throughout the globe as the best heavyweight boxer of his time and almost everyone knew his name.

What does Floyd Jr. do outside the ring? ***** and moan, then get his car repo'd while throwing the money he owes the IRS at the television camera.

Ali ran his mouth, but at least what came out was actually intelligent.

So it's more about the money making it a myth? Please explain.

That is the truth, and it makes a complete monkey of Floyds bull****.

floyd could've gotten the SRL treatment, but he wanted to be a thug and act all greazy.
