Derrick James assured Ismael Salas and any other doubter that Errol Spence Jr. is indeed the same fighter that beat Shawn Porter in September 2019.

I just hope that the eye isn't still tender. Hopefully, it's fully healed.

Something seems off with Spence. I know I’m not the only one seeing and hearing it.

he knows it's all been a sham and now crawford is available to fight. if he wins, people will want him to face crawford and hes just not feeling that.

Eye? Spence has flying car problems. Worry about DMV selling him a permit.

Props to Spence for taking on Ugas while coming off of a 16 month lay off and a big eye surgery. Ugas is not only tough, but also a smart boxer with good defense and very good accuracy. I also think he is a very good counter puncher. If Spence beats Ugas, fair and square, and doesn’t suffer any eye injury, it will revive the Spence vs Crawford fight.

But I really think that Spence is done. My prediction is leaning more towards Ugas. I think Ugas will pick on that eye and basically end Spence’s career. Everyone and their mothers say that a fighter can still be okay after some eye injury and I have yet to see that. No fighter is the same after that.

But if Spence can prove me wrong, I would be more than happy. I prefer him to be 100% and beat Ugas and then fight Crawford. I just doubt it. Even if he beats Ugas, how much will his eye suffer in the fight? Will he need yet another surgery? Another delay in his career? Will he be forced to retire?

Even done Spence can beat Ugas because his best asset is the dog in him and that will be there because he has got into great shape, look at Manny going forward into Ugas there were times Ugas looked open to a bigger stronger guy in the same position, that's where I think Errol will win the fight, if he cant box with Ugas he will use his physicality in a dog fight.

This is Errol's biggest fight because it must overcome so many mental hurdles, if he loses it will be hard to get the momentum going again he could be finished on a loss, I think he knows that and will go animalistic if he has too.

They were always going to turn a blind eye to Spence's injuries because there's still millions on the table. He just needs to keep the swerve on Crawford and he's good.

Yeah, you could be right, well soon see. What's for sure though, Spence is a dog. First fight back after car crash, Garcia. First fight back after retina surgery, Ugas.
