So, before he even mentioned Pac's name, he took it out of the realm of "accusation" not once, but TWICE. Which, in itself, was pretty shocking to me. FMS is a guy who is pretty reckless with his tongue, and generally disrespectful. But in this instance, he seemed to cover himself pretty well.

The nature of tort is that you have to defame someone. That is an accusation. Defamation is basically a derogatory accusation in the absence of fact. This is derogatory, and there is absence of fact. But there was no accusation. It was clearly an opinion. Clearly. That is a HUGE and fundamental issue.

He expressed an opinion. Which is his First ********* right to do.

I read in the other thread that some posters were encouraging Pac to sue (1. ***** move, and 2. wrong). What was so ironic about that was that the thread starter, by saying that FMS "accused" Pac, was infinitely more guilty of defamation than FMS was.

In a word? No. It does not.

      Truth.

Opinions are the basis of talk radio, and the op-ed pages. You see and hear derogatory stuff there ALL the time (yeah, Glenn Beck... I'm looking at YOU). But there is little that the aggrieved party can do because - in this country - the speaker is protected.

He trains at the Wild Card Gym in LA. LA own Shane Mosley admiting of using steroids against one of Pac opponent Oscar De la Hoya. You telling me Pac did not know about this? That is 2 big time fighters around his weight in his own sport. How can he not know about steroids? He has thrown out the first pitch in SF Giants stadium (I think the official name AT&T Park but I might be wrong). The biggest player in the Giants history is Barry Bonds. Who was the main reason for Balco scandal. I am pretty sure he heard about this.

Another thing for him to say that he don't know what steroids are. And, for you to think that he might not know. It might not look good on him. Cuz as an athlete you should know what steroids are. What if, one of his many yes man has come up to him and said, hey champ I have some great vitamins I could inject you with. Some B12, and he goes for it thinking that they are vitamins cuz 'he does not know what steroids are' and it turns out to be steroids? You see my point. For him to say he does not know what steroids are. Show's irresponsible he is as an athlete. And, might question has he unkowningly taken steroids cuz he don't know what they are.

And, 3rd World Countries argument is not an excuse. My parents are from a 3rd World Country (Guatemala). In the last couple of months there have been hundreds of kids dying from starvation. You have gangs killing cops and harrassing and taxing innocent people. You the drug cartlel rampet there. And, all my cousins and uncles worry about all that. And, yet they still know what steroids are.

Pacquaio is my favorite fighter right now. I am a Pacman fan. But, come on bro lets be real here. He has to know what steroids are, he has to. He obviously knows they are bad. For him to come out this quick and make it known he not ever used steroids.
You're so sensitive bro... of course he knows what roids are, but this is one way how Filipino delivers vehement denials, just like saying "*** with this stuff! who cares about steroids! i don't and never use that!" But to simplify this in a cool way, "Using steroids??, I don't even know what steroids are!"

you can form an opinion from a bull**** fact like hearing **** from mayweather

or you can form an opinion from a knowledgeable person with credible sources.

Makes what alright? You said it and that's your opinion. Big deal...right? Or should someone attack you and force you to prove the devil is there?

Did it ever occur to you that Floyd Sr knows a lot more than umm...YOU? And that him backing his claims could open a can of worms the sport could never recover from?

It is an issue of credibility and Floyd Sr. has proven to be credible with some of the posters on here I guess. Ultimately the world will believe Manny and roach. There will always be people trying find something wrong with what is right. Many people today think the holocaust never happened and become skin heads and ****s because they think Hitler was credible. It was just their opinion, although damaging, people have a right to it. Manny is a public figure and people will have their opinions trying to damage an unbelievable career.

Dude, the questions were out there WAAY before FMS said anything. He is reflecting. Not generating. It only made big news because it is FMS. There were pac threads about steroids on NSB back in April, and on other boards since last year. See here?

You still seem confused about opinion and fact. And now, angry. Sigh. I'll leave it alone. Everyone learns at their own pace, I guess.

                    Cheers.

Some of the posters have been hearing about this long before Floyd opened up his big mouth. So while for you - just hearing this - you could easily say, "who the **** is Floyd Mayweather Sr? he's just jealous and a crackhead and yada yada." But if it was someone else you might feel different (or not). And for some posters, they had already heard this from others...a LONG time ago.
