This is not the only board that I frequent, and I had seen this discussion before.

Yeah, maybe it has been a year or so. But he wasn't really in the public consciousness before. right? But there was a Pacquiao steroids thread on nsb that is over 2 years old.

If a guy is hitting 33 home runs a year and he is on the juice, he can fly under the radar. as soon as he hits 60, the questions will arise. That's how it works. Success draws scrutiny.

You know what entertains me? That so few are saying "well, let's objectively examine the issue". Instead people fall to " he is an ugly crackhead. He looks like the Predator". That's mature.

You're pretty much using hypotheticals. So why not discuss it for what it is. Stop beating around the bush. Honestly.

Also, Pacquiao appears to have a big head. Dehydrate and his head is the same size it has always been.

You talk about culture of steroids in the Wildcard, etc, etc--yet, you have not given a single credidble piece of evidence to suggest Roach is in cahoots with his fighters to take steroids--Of course, behind closed doors. Okay. You name a girl fighter and James Toney. Both questionable, one based on word of mouth and Toney who cites injuries for the use. Please cite more fighters. Or is this a slippery slope where you predicate the implied steroid use because of the "culture".

if it's indeed all water weight like you think then why does he look very similar in all his weigh in pics? look it up as you say.

12 more lbs in 9 months is all hydrating or not cutting?

I have a hard time believing that sir. Not to say I believe Manny is indeed taking PEDs but for anyone to solely dismiss this as Sr's rantings when other people whose opinions I respect and trust have expressed the same questions is being a bit naive
wow! the guy gained 3 lbs. in over a year while jumping 2 divisions.

        he must be on roids.

        pacquiao-marquez 2 at super featherweight march 2008

again ive never heard this from any medical standpoint. if there's no backed up facts and all is based from heresay and images and points of view of people uneducated with medications... then there's no point in giving out opinions that are not backed up.

by the way...the testosterone used in steroids are used for increased muscle mass....not enlargement of bones.

that's why i dont get the reasoning behind steroids makin a head bigger...for that to happen bones need to enlarge, the skull needs to grow.

          This was my post:

Some of the data points are:

          1. Other Roach trained fighters/athletes have tested positive for steroids
          2. Pac's obvious size increases while maintaining exceedingly lean muscle mass
          3. A culture of steroid use around the Wild Card gym
          Etc...

less credible and specific has been "have you noticed how disproportionately large Pac's head is?" and "overseas athletes are more prone to PED use because the culture is more permissive".

Please do not try to twist or misrepresent what I said. Despite English being my third language, i am pretty decent with words. Generally.

so in your first data point : since other athletes trained y roach tested positive...that makes pacquiao positive?

i mean no disrespect as we are all open to everyone's opinions...

but where's the data point about the subject of the accusation? PAC?

its like were jumpin to conclusions.."since all roach's trained figthers tested for steroids (where actually did you find this fact?) and there is a culture of steroid use in the wild card gym....we conclude that pacquiao is positive of steroid use?

get my point? i dont know...maybe we're misunderstanding each other.

a test will validate these accusations.

*ur point with the increase in weight but still having lean muscles do warrant questioning...and i agree with you on that.

Actually, isn't acromegaly a fairly common side effect of hGH?

You are misunderstanding, because you either skipped some posts... or jumped in mid-stream.

i will RE-POST, and then i'd like you to tell me what I said that has sent you into this tailspin.

i have taken care of patients with acromegally

for it to be acromegally you hands, feet, ears, mouth nose, jaw line etc....needs to be humongous and very obviously out of line with the other body parts.

u dont diagnose a person with acromegally because his head is damn huge though.
