Tbh, Briedis is the one out of these that gives him a fight, that’s a great shout.
Berbetiev will have a go too, but he’s too limited IMOBigDramaShow! likes this.

I do agree with Wlad but he made his millions. Bivol doesn’t necessarily have a ton of options where he can make a decent payday like Wlad did. This is Bivol’s payday and I understand completely where Wlad is coming from. It has to be very frustrating and hopeless over there, especially with no help in the form of troops from NATO. So sanctions is all they really have and to allow Bivol to make money and take it back to Russia, the aggressor, that’s frustrating. But Wlad made his millions. If Bivol is using this platform to advertise peace and say how bad he feels as a Russian, nothing wrong then. Let the guy make his money. It’s probably his only chance for a big payday.
***** is a coward. The soldiers killing women, children and other civilians, are cowards. But Bivol wants no part of that. Let him make his money. I think what Bivol should do is maybe donate some of his earnings to help displaced Ukrainians or something. That would make him look good in the eyes of Ukrainian boxers, media, fans. I understand if he doesn’t do it, obviously, the guy isn’t going to make a ton of money in his career. But just pledge a small amount just to show some sincerity if he does mean it.

is this how it is supposed to work? See, I served for 5 years in the good ol USMC. Know what I say? Phuk em all. Let every country stew in their own misery. Isolate, don’t give a dime to another country anywhere (that alone would ruin the world since we are the most giving of all countries where private donations outpace even Gov donations.). I grow sick and tired of America hating, bashing psychophants. Hell with em all let all nations fend for themselves. Let the world be taken over by dictators and let their people stew in their own s h I t. The only nations to come out of that would be China, Russia, US. Hell with all the ungratefuls. Let them wither under oppression and we won’t answer a wimper.
sound good to you? Does me.Last edited by Boxingfanatic75; 03-10-2022, 04:13 AM.Fists_of_Fury likes this.

wba putting morals over money? they announced the fight after the invasion happened
anyone wonder who is responsible for the mess in boxing?
its promoters
without belts, promoter's role would be minimised, their roles in purse bids, rankings, writing to governing bodies wouldnt exist so they wanna keep it going .
in reality, fans dont care if there is a belt on the line. history has proved this, mayweather mcgregor and other examples
and then you have the big stars in the sport who dont have the guts or brain to say the belts dont matter and vacating them but theyre part of the whole mess.
canelo loves playing the game and going for belt holders and he wont pick the strongest one, he aint gonna fight beterbiev, he will fight guys who are either on the decline or not aggressive, plant, saunders, bivol, kovalev at that time ever since the ggg fights which most people thought he lost
fury could vacate and no fan would care, the rankings are there and people agree with those, but fury is jus playing along with the game, and can you blame them? they dont wanna change the status quo and do something entirely new because theyre unsure of whether their purse would be affected. as a knowledgeable boxing fan i can tell them that yea, you would actually make more, you wouldnt be paying sanctioning fees

we all know bivol isnt responsible for the war
and at this point, it seems that banning russian athletes wont actually make it less likely ***** stops what he is doing, if anything it can be good that russians are not in russia
so even though i understand the school of thought that these measures make it less likely the war continues , its looking like thats not true so i would say let all anti-war athletes compete
but wba jus quickly announced the fight and didnt even give this moral question thought which is no surprise coming from the wba

Its a basic human right to be able to earn a living unless you directly are responsible for something wrong.
Its especially disgusting that the same celebs/companies/governments outright stealing hundreds of billions from Russian citizens are the same clowns who love China & never say anything about them for fear of biting the hand that feeds them.
What China is doing is even worse btw.Fists_of_Fury likes this.

Who is Vladimir Klitschko? Last I knew it was Vitali who is the mayor of Kiev. (pronounced Keeyiv, fyi)
That said, as much as I hate to punish athletes who clearly do not want war, I think this is the right thing to do in order to save innocent lives, at any cost.
