People don’t understand greatness. Jordan didn’t finish the game win or lose and talk smack. He put on his clothes and went about this business. He let his work at his job do it’s talking. I’ve never heard Jordan call himself the goat or the king, his body of work did it for him. Ali, did it for marketing. The rest of these guys think that’s the key to success. Nope. Because when you lose you spiral like this guy and broner did after.

teofimo made more money for the kambosos fight than he did for the loma fight.

how could he not take the fight?

Who isn't. No excuse. Deal with it and stay professional. Many have before him, and many will after him.

And that should've been the last fight @ 135!

Teofimo Lopez frustrated while waiting for Vasiliy Lomachenko to finalize deal
                  March 19, 2020

Lopez, 22, is quickly growing out of the lightweight division, and he's made it clear that his days at 135 pounds are numbered.

"I'm not going to just be there like a sitting duck and just wait on this man," he said. "Obviously, I've been saying for a while now that I want to move up to 140 -- and that is still on my mind. The only thing keeping that from happening and existing is the Loma fight. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't occur, it's not on me. It's just difficult at times like this because of how things play out and how things are."

Teofimo Lopez Sr: Don't Need No Rematch, My Mistake Was Leaving My Son At 135 For So Long
                  November 29, 2021

“We’re gonna go up to 140, we’re gonna get a fight in February and then fight [lineal/WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO champ] Josh Taylor (18-0, 13KOs) in the springtime,” insisted the elder Lopez. “This doesn’t change anything. You know what I’m saying?

“We don’t got to perfect nothing. He’s just been at 135 for too long. He’s been there… since 2016 when he fought in the Olympics. It’s time for him to move up, so he can be stronger and dead all these people. Because you know what? From now on, he’s gonna knock everybody out.”

What growth if he doesn't understand humility? He'll just get stuck in that child like look at me phase that makes adults not want to look. His skills were a better marketing tool that his mouth, the sooner he realize that the better. Don't become another pro athlete who had all the endorsment contracts and is now homeless..

Underneath this outburst is a nice kid, it's a shame that perhaps one particular family member seems to be extremely immature, not a good role model, sometimes you just need to break away.
