If Canelo fights him, cornering the Mexican won’t be as easy as cornering the slower Browne. Doing so took Beterbiev several rounds and a lot of missed shots.

The heavier weight will take some mobility off Canelo, making it harder to slip out the way he did in Canelo-GGG I. We don’t know what his punch resistance will be, either, when he isn’t able to turn as fast and absorb shots.

It’s an interesting fight. Like so many that never materialize I’ll believe it when I see it.

People forget Beterbiev had a long amatuer career and has a load of experience. He's not just some wrecking ball that walks forward. He's got skills.

There's a video on Youtube of him giving Usyk a tough fight 10 years ago.

It's not as if Canelo has nimble footwork though. He is elusive with upper body and head movement. I mean I don't think he's a total plodder the way some people make him out to be, but can't say I agree with you on the first part.

Browne could have beaten the count but wanted no more of the brutality beterbiev was putting on him.

While on his knee, Browne turned to look at the neutral corner to see Beterviev bouncing on his toes to get ready for the inevitable kill. Understandably Browne wisely thought long term by staying down and save himself for another day.

You noticed that too huh? You could almost see the last vestiages of the will to continue fighting evaporate in that instant. Dude glances over and then just takes on the air of a beaten man.

No Mas was a definite quit (and I say this as a huge fan of Duran). For Browne, the question was something like: do I want my career shorted by 5 fights? I feel his decsion was wise and justified.

I understand his reasons for quitting. But he definitely quit.
                    Thanks.
