No active fighter has a better resume than Canelo. Him taking high risk, low reward fights (like Trout and Lara) is a part of why he is where he is today.

I don't know why black people don't support their own more with Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade. But that is not Canelo's fault nor is it his responsibility to throw them some scraps.

Man, Canelo is going to exploit the slow Makabu who also has terrible balance and wide technique. And he has poor defense. So the extra weight is not going to be a factor. Canelo picks his fights carefully. Its not like he's over there telling his management, "get me the toughest fight available". They're dancing around hard fights in favor of shiny, sparkly, so called legacy fights. Step to Benavidez, a dude who'll throw 10 punches everytime u throw one. A guy with speed, skill and stamina. A guy who will kick his ass, not a punching bag with arms
