Bob Arum is a wily old man. I watch UFC sometimes and witness
some devastating KO's that were exciting but I still prefer boxing.
UFC is coming up so it is understanding that their putting their
best foot forward to entertain the fans and keep the matches
top notch BUT as soon as it hits really big, I can see it them
watering it down like Boxing has to some degree. Money/fame
sadly changes everything for the worst sometimes. It's funny
how Arum said UFC fans would only be interested in Pavlik
because their skin heads? That to me is considered a diss
to Kelly. Anyway, I watch both but Boxing is where it is at
    for me.

I dont think that was a very smart thing to say,However imo ufc will never be a threat to boxing.

But in a way maybee bob arum and other promoters have been shown up a bit because of how well the ufc is run and it has shown them they need to get there act together.

No disrespect to the current heavyweight boxers but remember this is at a time when the heavyweight division is considered to by many to be going through a slump,Imagine when the next mike tyson or ali comes along.

I personally think there is loads of exiting fight happening at the moment and in the near future

It upsets me to hear these labels being put on the sport and the fans. Boxing is a different sport. Like American football is different from Mexican football (Soccer). MMA fighters are all around fighters. Not neccessarily elite in one discipline, but great at combinding them all together. They are FIGHTERS! Boxing is a sport! Sure it is a combative sport, but one dimensional. It is an AWESOME sport! I love it, and if a world champion boxer had a boxing match with the best striker in MMA, well he would destroy him. But, if you put them in an MMA fight, an average MMA fighter would destroy the boxing world champion. The sports are different, both incredible, but different. I personally love the fact that you get 5 great fights (or more)with a UFC PPV, but come Sept 19th, I am going to watch JMM shock the world by smashing PBF! Boxing and MMA can and should co exist. Respect all warriors who train their asses off and get into the ring or the cage! ALL WARRIORS! It is up to us as fans to keep both of these incredible sports around, forever!
cant we all just get along?-Rodney King

          no it's not

I was at a friends house who ordered the Jones/Lacy for kicks...
they aren't really boxing fans if their watching jones/lacy for kicks. they are casual fans, but they bought the ppv anyways.

EVERYONE there wanted to turn it in the middle of the fight to watch Gina Carano fight Cyborg for free on SHO... so we did and turned it back the Lacy/Jones after her fight.
like I said, they aren't boxing fans, they are mma fans.

plus gina carino is hot and has nice bewbies.

Point is.....there is a lot boxing being sold that isnt given us **** for your buck.......
true, lacy/rjj isn't a must watch fight. I dunno why they ordered it. I didn't, but I caught the stream.

UFC and MMA more than always does.....
          to mma fans.

you really dont know what you are talking about..
no, you don't know what you're talking about

the only thing UFC does better than boxing is that they are better at promoting.

boxing is a superior product, but because of all the sanctioning bodies and promoters (ie the politics), the right fights aren't being made.

mma has an inferior product, but because there is only one company (no politics), the right fights are being made.

            that's all it is.

Lol! ****in' arum. He's wrong about people not paying to watch pac/mayweather tho. Who the hell is he to say what the fans will or won't watch. I'd pay to see that. If he doesn't think people will pay then he should put it on regular hbo. Damn greedy bastard.
