be bigger than Canelo fight night. Eventhough his PPV bombed it's the only fight PBC can offer that can be promoted as champ vs champ that some casuals might be interested in enough to purchase. You have the Mexican vs Mexican angle with David but honestly, very few casuals know who the guy is.

Another aspect were overlooking is all of this rides on how well the Canelo vs Plant ppv did. PBC/Showtime can't afford to absorb $50mil in purse payouts without turning a profit. If they couldnt break even with Plant, very little chance they offer Canelo a 40mil guarantee again against any of those 2, it leaves the door open for other promoters to swoop in. Who? Idk,we"ll just have to see it play out...
Interesting thoughts, if everyone involved got a return for their investment they can pay Canelo a lot of money to bring him back, however if the fight didn't do good enough it will be hard to convince Canelo, specially considering GGG might look good on the Murata fight, DAZN could guarantee huge money to Canelo, I'm confident that Espinoza will contact Canelo no January to lay out the plan for 2022.

If GGG KO's Murata don't rule out that possibility, also, I'm not confident Canelo keeps all 4 belts, If I was a betting man I'd say the will vacate 2 belts and keep 2.

i just want him to fight someone with a bit of skill whos fought around that level. hell, someone who actually turns up to win and isnt beat before they even get in the ring would be an upgrade on the bunch of crap hes fought recently.

If Benavidez or Bivol want the fight they need to look like a pile of sh**, Canela will duck forever if they look dangerous. The six fights since Golovkin have been money losers. DAZN lost over 100 million dollars on Canelo. We will see if the numbers are ever released for the Plant fight or if they are top secret classified. Seems like it was a money loser. Plant fought like a sparring partner the fight was trash.
In my scorecard I gave Plant 4 rounds, not to mention that Canelo and Plant landed almost the same number of punches on all rounds. Plant put the best fight ouf of Smith and BJS, so by no means I think he looked bad at all, in fact, I became a Plant fan after this fight, can't wait to see him back in action, dude is legit.

Now Charlo is a legit champion also, the thing is that Canelo is so great at what he does that he is making great fighters look not that great, Charlo against GGG or Andrade would be a 2 to 1 kind of fight in the betting odds. Canelo vs Charlo will be a 6 to 1 kind of fight because Canelo is an elite fighter.

Now on to the Bivol thing, I would not advice Canelo to move up to 175, the guy is even small for 168, don't get me wrong I wwant to see those fights, but I've always said that Bivol and Beter would be his hardest fights since GGG.

This division is a crap. Canelo was a split decision machine at 154/160, now he looks like some killing monster. Do the math. These guys like Plant, Saunders are not very good. I mean they are clearly not on GGG`s level.
and yet GGG wasn't willing to move up and do what Canelo did. GGG didn't want to fight any of those guys Canelo has fought. GGG isn't elite, didn't he pretty much lose to the guy Charlo dominated in Derv?

GGG is career middleweight like Hagler was. Why should everybody move up?

If GGG is not great, Canelo is not either. Elite guys don`t have very close fights with average guys, lol. You Canelo fans are funny.

Hey dummy, when Canelo moved up after beating GGG Benevidez was green behind the ears and had been stripped AFTER Canelo moved up. He then moved back down to defend his MW titles. After that he made the decision to stay at SMW. Benevidez had then been STRIPPED AGAIN. I don’t know why people spew at the mouth with diarrhea before doing ANY research. It probably just sounds good on a forum so groupies can come in and quickly push that like button.

Don’t waste your time. Canelo could defend SMW and unify LHW and there will still be little vertical bearded taco casuals that come in with their garbage comments

Fist time I agree with you GGG is great and imo will fit in any MW era. I’ve always believed GGG was a legit great fighter and could have done even more had he not just waited for Canelo and built up his on legacy even more.

Canelo is 31. I find it sad that these inactive, unproven fighters are his rivals. There’s no hall of famers out there for Canelo. Pac had Barrera, Morales, Marquez. Canelo deserves to have great contemporaries. GGG is a great fighter to an extent but he got started too late and didn’t have much of a career beyond Canelo. Andre Ward really needed to be in the mix. Canelo and Ward could have been great rivals.
