There comes a certain point in 1s career where the lack of power is going to be detrimental. Plant has the athleticism to be a title holder again at 168 and maybe 175 but he will never be Lineal Champ.

I expected a different type of statement from him. This sounds too humble. Canelo was totally exhausted after the fight, you could see he was tested to his max, he said "his body needs to recover." Plant is great, easily a potential HOF if things go right. He proved incredible toughness and skill.

Resumes aren't everything and fighters shouldn't be written off after one loss in a very competitive fight to a top P4P at the peak of their careers.
Regardless of outcome Plant showed he is a quality operator. He didn't shame himself but I guess some people love to kick a guy when he's down.

I thought he could have done a few things better but honestly felt it was a great performance and he gave Canelo a very tough fight, one of the toughest of his career and that is vs a peak Canelo. There was nothing easy about that and nobody else is having it easy with him either, that guy can box with the best of them.
