Comments Thread For: Will Haymon's Gigantic Gamble On Boxing's Biggest U.S. Star Pay Off With Canelo's Return To PBC?

By Keith Idec - LAS VEGAS - The unofficial odds on whether Canelo Alvarez will return to work with Premier Boxing Champions after Saturday night at least are better than the odds on his fight against Caleb Plant. Al Haymon doesn't have a contractual commitment from Alvarez for another PBC bout, despite Haymon's best efforts to lure boxing's biggest star in the United States into the PBC universe

Good read. The future of Canelo is definitely along side Haymon with a shocking-if-needed Plant rematch or Charlo and Benavidez bouts. Those are all his most marketable fights unless Golovkin 3 can finally happen.

I see no interest in a Bivol fight. Artur Beterbiev would be intriguing but I can’t see Canelo taking that one nor should he be expected to.

I really don’t get people who push corporatists as great for the common person. They’re not your mates and they’re not giving you the boxing for free; you still have to pay them.

Amazes me to see the article’s remark about Canelo facing Callum Smith 10 months ago. He’s had another fight since then, and he’s got one on Saturday.

That’s 3 champions faced in less than a year, the latter being for undisputed.

Amazing what you can actually do when you give all of the long term deals from boxing’s middle men the swerve and stay ‘free’.

                Promoters and networks are poison.

probably they just care about boxing ...

                  With Haymon ..
No fights outside the US , no attempt to push fights outside the US
                  PPV prices up and up
                  No none PPV fights
Only fights against PBC fighters at all cost

With Haymon we'll all be watching MMA real soon .. it'll make Dana happy ..facts

If Haymon reverses all that I'd be happy.

What was the point of this post? What illicited this response? What made you click on this article? And how you’ll you recommend I adjust my mindset to be more acceptable in your eyes? How should those living in America see boxing in your opinion?
