Josesito Lopez would be a great opponent! Probably won't happen!

Conor Benn is just fighting guys who were gatekeepers 5+ years ago but have a name based on losing to good fighters years ago.

Funny they are petrified to put him in with Avanesyan, even though it would be a logical next step. Actually, letting him fight for a British title v McKinson would be a logical next step but they don’t seem to fancy that either.

Conor Benn is either going to end up doing a Yarde and jumping levels too much and get beaten, drop back down levels and lose again. Or he’s going to be on the wrong end of a cherry pick against these old faded gatekeepers.

if they believe in him that much, let him go the British title route, then Euro if successful. Build him properly.

They aren’t going to put him in with a live body unless it’s huge money to cash him out. That’s the clear route they’re taking.

Devin Haney Reacts To Gervonta Davis Vs. Rolly Romero; Predicts Tank Annihilates Rolando

        October 7, 2021 l l by

“I never even made $8 million in my life, not anything close to it. Come on, get the f*** out of here. For Rolly?” said Devin Haney to Fighthype when told that Rolly Romero and Teofimo Lopez claimed he asked for $8M for a fight.

“Tank isn’t making $8 million for Rolly. That’s some bull s***. I can’t believe y’all believing in these lies,” said Haney. “When I see this s*** on the Internet, I be like, no, they don’t believe that s***. They know it’s cap. Come on now.

“Rolly up to date, he’s probably made $150,000 in his whole career. Who the f*** is Rolly? Who would want $8 million to fight him?

“Tank is going to beat the s*** out of him,” said Haney in making his prediction of a win for Gervonta over Rolly Romero. “He’s going to annihilate him,” said Haney in predicting a win for Tank Davis.

Teofimo Sr. May Work Rolly’s Corner

“I think Tank gets hit easily, and sometimes I think he does it on purpose to figure out if the guy has pop, and then he comes and destroys you,” said Teofimo Lopez Sr. to on the Gervonta Davis vs. Rolly Romero fight.

“With Rolly, that’s not going to happen. Rolly almost knocks out everybody in sparring. He’s got a great left hook, great right hand, and I think this is a dangerous fight for Tank.

“They took a little bit for them to sign. So right there, you can tell. This fight should have been signed a long time ago.

“I told Ellerbe to stop talking about my son and start focusing on Rolando Romero because there might not be no Tank if Rolly destroys him. I might even be in his [Rolly] corner. His father gets nervous, so I’m thinking about it.

“I was with Rolly today, and I was giving him a couple of pointers, and I can’t wait for this fight to happen,” said Lopez Sr.

It’ll be interesting to see Lopez Sr. in Rolly’s corner on the night. If he can give Rolly some good instructions, he may pull off the upset by beating Gervonta.

Lopez is actually a better than Avaneyan, he recently gave a champion Thruman a run for his money and he stopped Santana, who in his last fight went to distance with that weight bully Hurd. Avanesyan is doing well in the Euro scene, but every time he stepped up he was dominated

I actually think Lopez has a real good shot at upsetting Benn , Conor needs a fight or two more to polish up his skills a bit before he gets in the ring with lopez. Looking at the WBC rankings I think Emmanuel Tagoe seems like the most logical next fight for Haney , at least he's been undefeated for 31 fight now .

Lopez is a great fight. His last 4 defeats Thurman Berto Canelo and Chino no shame in that. 8 wins sandwiched between. Good test. Only concern is inactivity.

Just make the fights Edward, don’t negotiate fights in the media and then never make them, just spring it on the people and let us be pleasantly surprised

Benn Vs. Lopez is a good test that could bite the fav in the ass... Make it happen.

Sucks for Haney tho dude is pretty much unmarketable to the CASUAL fan.
