On September 12 at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, former super flyweight champion Cristian Mijares will attempt to keep his career alive when he meets undefeated Nehomar Cermeno in a rematch for the interim-WBA bantamweight title. Mijares was once considered the best but after suffering back to back defeats, his career is on the ropes. No he cant. Its obvious to me the popularity he received when he had that great string of victory took the focus off of him. I had him as the best fighter coming out of mexico for a moment until he came into the ****in ring smiling against darchinyan like that **** was going to be a cakewalk.

Mijares should win but Cermeno really does have awkward style so it will be interesting to see if he can make the adjustments. I dont exactly think he lost the 1st fight but it was a fairly close fight and the judges obviously liked Cermeno raiding tactics.
This was a good fight to so i look foward to this.

Mijares is done.... the moment he lost to Darchinyan that was it for his credibility. And I bet getting another big fight won't be easy for him either.
