Hope it fails. I'd rather Bud fight a good lightweight than this guy.
..? why? Porters fights with the top WWs have all been highly exciting close affairs. Your comment has no basis

PBC is not going to throw money away.

This is on Arum not meeting in the middle. He's already on record saying he's no longer "losing money" on his OWN fighter.

Yeah, if you like wrestling and head first style fighters. We just have a different taste.

Exactly. What if no one bids for this fight?

This 147 era is weak from 2016-2021 the last 5 years what the hell has happened? We got Thurman-Porter, Porter-Spence, Garcia-Porter, Thurman-Garcia and Crawford-Horn. Come on man none of those fights were classics
So because Crawford is a duck, boxing is dying? The past 20 years multiple times some writers and some fans have constantly been pushing the idea that boxing is dying, that MMA was going to take over, well, here we are, boxing is still king, only in the past 10 years boxing has broken PPV record, attendance record and gate record, but boxing is dying..... Boxing has been around for over 100 years and will continue to be around regardless of what some will say. The problem is that in the past 30 years this country has put forth a generation bunch of entitled whiny diva's, but that transcends all sports, not just boxing.

Bob at least has to make a good faith bid, if he expects to get his 25% of Buds purse.........

If not? And no one else bids? No fight?

Arum already told the whole world how bad promoting Crawford is and how he is losing money on him. I can see why many promoters may be very hesitant, as well.

I havent looked at the rules in awhile but if Im not mistaken if there is no bid then the title is declared vacant, as the champions promoter has an obligation to cast at least the minimum bid

This would have made an excellent fight for prime time FOX a couple of years back when the big fights were still on FOX

If this happens, it's like two in one for me. First, I despise all belts and their crooked orgs equally. I hope every fighter vacates their trinkets. Second, I'm OK not seeing a Porter fight ever again. The guy will do good in MMA or wrestling.

                      Thanks for your expertise.
