To be fair, not only Casimero "buzzed" Rigo in the first round. He blatantly hit him several times while he was on the canvas. A more severe referee could have disqualified him then and there.

The tragedy of that fight was it was clear who the superior talent was. Rigo made casimero look like a civilian. He just had no real interest in throwing punches. You can win a fight by avoiding the fights had he landed some shots while avoiding shots i could see it. But there never needs to be any thought in any fighters head that they can win like that. That type of fight HURTS THE SPORT

Yes, it was a legitimate knockdown, but Casimero should have been at the very least penalized one point or two.

Roy Jones was disqualified against Montell Griffin for similar stuff.

We didn't need Rigondeaux to show Casimero's level. The guy has been given an inordinate amount of credit for the Zolani Tete win, but Tete himself was overrated to begin with.

Casimero will be exposed once and for all if he fights Donaire or, worse yet, Inoue.

Rigondeaux made casimero look bad he could’ve won easily had he thrown more I think that had more to do with being 49 the older u get the harder it is to pull the trigger. That said the fight was horrible but he still won pretty easily ♂️

LA, do some research before making that statement on Sean Gibbons, Casimero’s bum promoter. Not only was he a professional boxer, but dude put in his work hard in the mid US. He might make some crazy a$$ statements, but he knows a helluva lot more than you obviously

Casimero swung and hit air so much he would make a great air conditioner. Just watching him kept making me think "is this a champion?"
True Rigo was very economical with his punching. Made the fight too close. But Casimero didn't look like a boxer to be feared. He was lucky the judges counted his air swings.
