They were never interested in an undisputed fight against Deontay Wilder.

I agree with you. Why should he run from a man he nearly decapitated? That's a good question. All I know that something must have happened to him in the fight that must have really mentally ruined him. You are a damned liar! Wilder was trying to make the undisputed bout with Anthony Joshua all Summer long. He agreed to all of his terms like a $15M flat fee, no guarantee and fighting on foreign soil.

This was a fight that he never wanted and also he lacks both the motivation and drive this time to win it. So October doesn't mean a damn thing if he is not prepared.
