The problem with this announcement is you can never be sure if Fury is just cooking up BS to play games with Wilder.

This is actually the situation the interim belt is supposed to be for.

WBC should make it right and order the interim champ to step up in Fury's place, since the champ temporarily is unable to defend his championship for medical reasons beyond his control. Wilder deserves to not have to wait, so let's hope the WBC can step up and get him his shot at the interim belt.
