    Michel Rivera overcame adversity to deliver his most spectacular win to date. The unbeaten Dominican graduated from prospect to contender, climbing off the canvas to score a highlight reel, eighth-round knockout of Jon Fernandez in their WBA lightweight title eliminator. Both fighters hit the deck, with Rivera having the last say to end matters at 0:44 of round eight in their Showtime-televised bout Saturday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

      One punch KO power, don’t know what it is with the Dominicans but they all seem to be able to swat a tonne. He definitely has that Ali haircut down, good to see a young boxer idolising the greatest. And good to see him learning English and man this lad loves to talk lol

          They're known for being amazing baseball players and surely the mechanics translate fairly well.

              Thank you for point that out….they arnt even an island, they are what half of Hispaniola? And look how many boxers and baseball players of renown they send to the USA….pretty amazing

                    I enjoyed this fight way more than Colbert fight. Always good to have a fight swing one way and then the other.
