    Famous decisions...were they fair

In each of these fights, the victor was accused of getting a gift decision on popularity alone. If anyone has seen any of these fights, do you agree with the decision?

Jones v Tarver I (I agree that Jones stuggled, but he won)

Leonard v Hagler (Haven't seen it yet, most people think that Hagler really won.)

Ali v Norton III (Ali did win...barely)

Wepner v Terell (Robbery. Christmas for Wepner in June.)

Louis v Walcott I (Total Robbery. Walcott made Louis look like ass.)

To add to the list of controversial fights:

DLH V.S. Mosley 2. (DLH obviously robbed)
Byrd V.S. Oquendo. (some conspiracy talk, but I gave byrd the decision.)

    and in recent memory.

Tarver V.S. Johnson. (Tarver being COMPLETELY robbed by the judges).

      Mayweather-Castillo I

yea maybe it was because I just wasnt used to seeing Floyd hit as much. I just thought Castillo out-hustled and out-muscled him for the win.

i think even the HBO crew, who usually kisses the HBO fighter's ass had Castillo winning.(i know for a fact Lederman had Castillo up)

Hagler totally won that fight against Leonard...that was a very bad decision.

I wish I could have seen Tarver v Johnson. I know that there is no way Johnson could defeat Tarver unless the judges were members of his family.

After watching the fight, you will think the judges are his children. Its absolutely ridiculous. Tarver was busier, and outlanded Johnson. Reminded me of Lewis/Holy 1. A lightheavyweight version of that fight.

I was rooting for Johnson, but Tarver won that fight. After seein the first fight, unless Johnson makes some changes in his game plan, I don't give him much chance of winning the rematch.

Isn't it amazing that Ring ****zine called Johnson "Fighter of the Year" based, mainly, on his fights with Jones and Tarver? Those kinds of things make being a boxing fan feel dirty.

I dont agree with his ranking. And I think he is one of the most overrated fighters on the scene.

I don't believe any sane boxing fan would agree. But this is the same ****zine that comes up with a new, bogus, P4P list every issue.
