How come Haymonites are now worried about this fight? Imagine if Plant doesn’t fight Canelo nor Benavidez anytime soon. How will NSB be posters justify Plant’s fights?

No matter how big you get you’ll always be Floyd’s son. Fcuked up part is I like Canelo a lot. And I’ll still root for him no matter how much you piss me off.

Even if it was lower than he wants then take the money, beat Canelo then call your own shot. Again these guys all talk tough then hide behind Haymon. They are afraid to chase greatness. This new breed of fighters are just looking to cash out without earning it.
Canelo makes what he makes because he’s taken chances in his career these other fighters won’t. He risked a Floyd fight by fighting undefeated Trout coming off a win against Cotto. He fought Lara knowing he had a boring style and was going to be an ugly fight. He was the underdog against GGG. These guys get a paper title and then act like they run ****. Can’t respect that bs.
again, you don’t what was offered so how are you going to say he should just accept it? Canelo has gotten into his share of money disputes himself when he felt he deserved more money (including in some of the fights you mentioned above) and like I said, damn near every recent canelo opponent had turned down an initial offer. They all ended up with the fight eventually. So it’s business. By your logic, ggg should’ve accepted a flat fee of 10 mil that he was offered initially against canelo because it was more than he ever made. He didn’t fall for the lowball and ended up making over 20 mil. You guys just want boxers to bow at Canelo’s feet and jump at anything they get offered without knowing any specifics. Then get pissy that they fight for the money they feel they deserve just like everyone else in the world does.

leave that clown alone. Just the fact that he used the words “we at the top” tells you all you need to know about him. He’s so delusional he believes Canelo’s success is also his. That’s what happens when you’re a weirdo coked up loser (as he’s admitted to being on here), he tries to live vicariously through others and takes any criticism of a complete stranger as if it’s personal towards him.

It depends on your options. GGG had the HBO machine behind him so he had some options. What options does Plant have?
He reportedly wanted $10 million guaranteed despite making $500k in his last fight and is not a draw. If it’s just posture for negotiating that’s fine but these guys talk tough then when it comes time to get it done they act like they have any leverage. I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen. We know Haymon doesn’t like his guys to lose their titles to non in house fighters.

well to be fair, he does have some leverage. Canelo has gone on record saying he wants to be undisputed at 168 and plant has the one title he needs to do that. So perhaps that’s the hand he’s playing because for whatever reason, it’s important to canelo to be undisputed at 168 when it wasn’t as important for him at 154 or 160. End of the day, I think the fight will get made because who else will they fight at 168? I doubt either wants smoke with Benavidez right now so they’re better off making it work.
