He's heavy handed, obviously, but aside from that... his boxing isn't great... even his heralded defense is overrated. Sure, he's got the turtle shell thing going, but once he opens up offensively, if you can slip his punches then he is a sitting duck for counters as he is stiff and has zero head movement. During most of his offensive bursts he doesn't protect himself AT ALL. And even in his turtle defense, his body is open for jabs to his stomach and hooks around his forearms.
His punch output is mediocre at best. It may improve with him moving up in weight, but it may not. There are plenty of examples of guys whose activity didn't improve when they moved up; Taylor is the perfect example. Sure, punch output may not matter when you are knocking out bums in Germany, but when you can't knock out your opponent and you aren't scoring points (or being donated points by hometown judges), you're ****ed.

So no, I'm not buying into the hype just yet. He may convince me in the Taylor fight, of course, but the only reason I'm even expecting him to beat Taylor at this point is because of Taylor's inability to fight for more than six rounds. If Taylor shocks everyone by showing up in tremendous shape, then watch out.
That's how Miranda broke his jaw--a right hand he looped around his guard.

Abraham has been cutting down weight to meet the Middleweight limit, in hopes for a Pavik fight, and the Oral fight was his last fight there. It wasn't his best performance, but in general he fights in a similar way. I'm expecting a big impovement at 168.

The thing is though, and you can take this how you will, when he fought Miranda in Florida, he didn't do much until his trainer told him to be more aggressive. After that, he wobbled Miranda in the third, and stopped him in the next.

But still, as you said, he is open to be countered when he throws.

      I agree,
I think Taylor is broken mentally now,we'll see,but after the Frock ko(baddest thant the Pav stoppage)...

Arthur is a proven champ with something like 10 defenses including solid contenders like a not yet shot miranda twice,Marquez,or Howard eastman and bunch of undefeated but unknown contenders.

      But,he was already a small middleweight,and at 168 it'll ¨probably too much.
I mean he's goin to fight taller but also larger guys now.

Taylor trains enough, but he's too nervous in the ring and gas out.He knows his chin is suspect when he's facin a havy handed guy.

Concerning skills,Abraham has got skills, defensive or offensive.
            The problem isn't here.
I think Taylor could be too fast and too big, tall for AA.

Taylor's chin is far from suspect...............he was koed after eating a ton of clean, and huge shots. That is not a suspect chin.

IMO Abraham's mind games are just that and Kessler will do just fine training with a 2-3h difference.

You know those strongmen games, like "Show me what you can do and I will do it better"?
You may know from another site that I'm all for trash talking and some showboating - that's why I'm also in love with this tourney. Just a likely scenario (for an Abraham fan ):
Abraham beats Taylor by late KO, jumps on a jet to arrive in Nottingham for Froch vs. Direll. There, Direll stops Froch in round 5 beginning to provoke Abraham at ringside in the post fight interviews. Abraham joins him and Bernstein and tells Direll to shut his mouth in their next fight...
Isn't nobody here interested in storylines and trash talking caus I am addicted to that ****...that's what boxing gives me even without a good fight but at least it got hyped the proper way - stories are what made boxing...that's what I like about the old times - form a plot, even build up the fighters to superman status and crazy stories (Duran knocking out a horse to get drinks for free)...

I love trash talkers as well. Miranda is the best these days.

I read an article about AA dreaming of Kessler as well. There's no doubt in my mind that AA wants to beat him bad. It's for Sauerland supremacy and to get the dates work-out times! I'm sure that Kessler-Abraham would be a major event in Germany. Kessler is well-known down there and highly regarded as well.
