He went on Insta and TMZ and accused that gym of RACISM.

So for him to now get on Wilder about racism makes him look ******.

He likely meant "race isn't why you lost" but that's not how he said it, and he made himself look like an ass - he might as well have kept his damn mouth shut.

To be clear I'm understanding correctly, Charlo said "race don't matter' in response to some of Wilder's claims? Seems reasonable to say in that context. I don't read from it that Charlo believes race never matters in any way in life or that racism doesn't exist.

Of course it matters. Race, ethnicity, class, nationality all matter. Should they matter as much as they do? In an ideal world, no, but we don't live in an ideal world. We don't live in a world where all of these markers haven't been massively important in empowering some and disenfranchising others. Jermell didn't clarify what he meant, but if he was speaking purely about the two Wilder-Fury fights then skill was far more important there than race.
