you know i was thinking..is sugar shane more past it than we realize? the reason why i ask is because in his fight before margarito he fought a washed up mayorga who was never anything special and some people actually had mayorga winning up until the KO. and some people may say well he went on to DESTROY margarito which he did handily..but the thing is margarito got caught trying to use plaster in his gloves..some people may say that was the first time margarito tried to do that (which i doubt heavily) but lets say margarito used them previously in his big fights, and of course he couldnt use them against shane because he got caught..how good is margarito without the plaster? could sugar shane have been fighting somebody as good as somebody with a record of like 20-14?..its very interesting when you really think about it..because margarito was the definition of a punching bag in that fight..he looked like someone with NO skill whatsoever..hear me out though, you can disagree with me but you have to admit..its pretty interesting. id like to hear your guys thoughts and opinions.

Mosley has been past his prime for a while really but he's managed to cover it up quite well. Mayorga fought a spoiler's fight against Mosley, lots of clinching, rough fighting and then you have to consider that Mosley was out of the ring for what I believe was the longest period in his whole career, also the fight was at 154, Mayorga had the weight advantage on fight night, Mosley has never really looked that great at 154, the foot blisters he claimed to have suffered during that fight might have contributed to him looking bad as well, they are a pain to walk around with much less fight with.
Anyways, yeah, Margarito's style probably flattered Mosley a little and Mosley is past his prime but he's still a top guy in the division and still very dangerous against anybody at 147, having Richardson in his corner helps a lot too.

plaster or not margo wasnt gonna land anything anyway. shane imo edged cotto. mosley has been past it for a while now but still remains a great figher...which is quite amazing

Obviously he isn't the Mosley from his lightweight and pre Vernon Forrest days, but he still is capable of beating anybody at welterweight and gave Cotto all he could ask for. Still a world class fighter.

Even if Marg had plaster in his wraps for the Shane Mosley fight.. lets say they never found the loaded wraps and he went into the shane fight loaded.
Marg didnt even have time to use them... Shane was landing POWERFUL shots at will.. and Marg was wobbled all over the place.
It wouldnt of made a difference
