I understand that it is prize fighting but sometimes if you believe you are the better fighter you have to take the low end of the stick to prove yourself. If Andrade would had taken that fight and won he would had been in a much better position now.

It was the beginning of a run that made him a star and a legend of his era.
Andrade turned down the exact same amount of money by passing on the Charlo fight and now he's a nobody in the sport and will retire a nobody.

Andrade even tried to straight up lie about the situation claiming he pulled out because he was being lowballed when his lawsuit against Roc Nation states that not only did he reject the $550k payday to face Jermell but also a multi fight deal with Showtime with an increase in pay with each fight. So Andrade rejected a sure thing just to chase a non existent deal that never materialized-- and he probably lied about the Roc Nation situation too considering he ended up dropping the lawsuit.
