Saunders three best rounds were the ones before the eighth when he got caught. One shot changed the fight completely. Even the first half of the 8th round was pretty close until he got caught.

Not saying he would’ve gone onto win, Canelo looked like he could move through gears but BJS was certainly getting a bit better as the fight went on, doesn’t really matter though, It’s a 12 round fight and he got caught with a good shot and it ended.
You said BJS was going to beat Canelo before the fight - for no other reason than BJS said he was going to win. If BJS continues, this loss might finally give him the knowledege and confidence to fight some other top-level fighters. Really he has wasted his career fighting bums and half decent fighters - he is 31 and only finding out now what he needs to do and learn. His fans enabled him

If they didn’t stop it he was in for a highlight reel KO in round 9.
Yes, canelo looking for that uppercut. He was throwing shots to make Saunders duck down into, walking him down, and building to the stoppage.

At least its true. Billy was winningthe fight up until he got caught. Its better to have ended the fight than keep going for a decision you were never gonna get in the first place

Never mind these judges , before that great punch which caused the injures Canelo was having to really dig deep and caught like only Floyd caught him. If BJ gets fixed and decides to return middle weight would be right for him , Canelo seems really strong and settled at super mid. and has only plant to beat now.

Why is this article trying to make it seem like it was such a close fight but Canelo just got a lucky punch? I only had BJS winning two rounds in this fight. He was outclassed except for rounds 5 and 6. Canelo was catching him with those uppercuts. The end was coming for him either way.

If not for that injury, I think it would go 12. Billy was never wobbled or ever looking like getting dropped. Even that uppercut he well, considering the damage it did. It was just a good punch that got him in the right spot to do that damage. You could fight another 100 times and possibly never land it in that exact spot to cause that injury, but he did.

His chin looked very solid. He got caught with a great uppercut that nearly knocked out his gum shield and he never wobbled. The likes of Andrade wouldn’t take those shots.

we’ll never truly know and that’s credit to Canelo anyway, he got the job done, he threw the shot.

maybe the end would’ve come anyway because at least he was trying to win, inevitable leaving himself more open.

either way i’d rather get stopped in 8 trying to win than go 12 just trying to survive with no ambition to win like Smith

Canelo getting outboxed until he lands a brutal shot off a feint that ends the fight.

If you can't see that parallel, don't know what to tell you.

You prolly a newbie boxing fan. At least I think you are but that’s how boxing and boxing fans are.

I agree with how you scored the fight. I had BJS winning the 5 and 6 also and maybe the feel out round 1 too but besides that Canelo controlled that fight and was setting up BJS the whole fight.
