I didn't realize Malignaggi can still speak. I always thought he was permanently paralyzed on one side, ever since his face got pounded into pulled pork with BBQ sauce, while getting viciously butt f__.ked when he fought Shawn Porter

Agree with Paulie, it's would be difficult for anyone to get a UD against him.

Malignaggi is a smart guy, I think he gives quality boxing comments. But I don’t know how you can think a fighter is going to win a fight with mostly jabs. The other guy had to be doing absolutely nothing in order for a jab to win a fight against them.

Lara landed more punches in more rounds, than Canelo. Problem is Canelo landed more POWER punches than Lara in more rounds. It is clear to see, like you can be ****** all you want, judges are absolutely not going to give a fight to someone who just threw 75% of his punches as jabs. That is just not going to happen. Unless your jab is stunning/knocking down your opponent, you need to land power punches. Plain and simple, Canelo landed better punches in more rounds. That is why he won. There’s no conspiracy behind it. This wasn’t like Lara vs Williams, where Lara outlanded Williams in both jabs and power punches, in more rounds. And landed power punches at 50%.

This was a fight of a guy refusing to engage, just throwing jabs the majority of the time, and just not attempting to land anything significant out of fear of getting caught. He called Canelo, had fans backing him, saying Canelo is ducking him. He gets in the ring with him and does next to nothing. No damage whatsoever. Just went in there trying to score points like he’s back in the amateur ranks and thinks he was going to be hailed as a hero by the judges for jabbing Canelo for 12 rounds while getting hit with power punches.

Saunders would hands down win the fight but still lose the decision. Remember that he is fighting in Texas where the judges always favor the Mexican fighter

To be fair canelo has really picked up his game over the last few years and there's been no controversy but historically it doesn't seem like he needs to do much to win a round.

              I thought trout beat him

Salty ass MFer would be licking Canelo's ass if Canelo was at PBC.

One can both acknowledge how good of a fighter is and also acknowledge that the fighter consistently receives the benefit of the doubt among judges.

Canelo is an incredible fighter. He also has established himself as a world known star and revenue generator for promotions and fight venues. That means alot of stakeholders in boxing don't want to see his star diminished because they directly and indirectly benefit from his success.
