The thing is, according to this thread and responses, only about 5-10% give Barrios a real shot. Barrios is a tough dude, a welterweight (according to Prograis), younger (25) than Davis (26), undefeated (26-0) WBA world champion, top 5 at 140, in his prime.

    I can't understand the hate.
all of that sounds good on paper but Barrios has fought arguably nobody and almost lost 2 fights ago. He's Marriaga status.

That just tells you how good Gervonta Davis is. If that bum, Josh Taylor, wins, he'll be the next victim. If not, Davis goes back to 135. He's not interested in belts or Ramirez. Taylor is marked.

That fight can happen in the UK. I know Floyd wanna explore the UK boxing market for select fights.

So I'm not making a biblical statement I'm just saying in less words I see this as a 80/20 Tank leaning fight where more often than not Tank catches him.

More importantly I think some folks are making far too much of Barrios' size. He's a bigger guy sure, but he's also much less skilled & talented. And I'll take skill over size, particularly when it's only 5lbs, all day. This ain't some good big man beats a good small man situation.
If Tank KOs Barrios, then he's a lot better than I thought! I really wanted Tank vs. GRJ! I thought that was more competitive than Barrios! What's your thoughts on Issac "Pitbull" Cruz, as an opponent for Tank?

I don't hate this fight at all! I just LOVED Tank vs. GRJ, but I LIKE this fight! I just hope Tank goes back to 135, after this! I still want to see him fight KingRy! If not, then Teofimo @ 140 would be just as good!

Yea I liked Tank vs GRJ better myself. I wish SOMEONE would fight GRJ at this point. I was even rooting on him getting that not very likely Bud fight lol. The guy deserves a big fight. I think he'll probably have to do some big jump like Rigo had to to get a big fight eventually or just get old enough where he's less of a threat to give a notable guy a L.

Tank vs Pitbull would be a fun ****er probably. I'm not as impressed with Pitbull's skills & ring IQ so think he'd be a clear dog. And he probably needs a fight or two more before he'd be ready for a Tank fight to get more eyes on him + to give him the best shot at winning.

See the Clatessa Shields all-women PPV. Or Terence Crawford vs Amir Khan.
And if it does over 200k buys as his previous PPV did, then I'm sure all parties will be satisfied. Tank is also going to do a 2M+ gate if allowed full capacity. HE is the reason this is on PPV, not the actual fight and that's what matter.

I would LOVE for Tank vs Josh to be the goal here with this who cares Barrios fight move cuz that makes more sense than anything, but I would always bet against cross promotion fights happening, especially bigger ones like this would be, cuz it'd be such a profitable bet since they so seldomly happen.

I think Josh is one of the hardest fights out there for Tank that's a reasonable fight to make if boxing made sense outside the ring. I'd definitely like to see what would happen if those two clashed. Assuming of course Josh gets by JCR, which I favor him to do but by no means is it a lock.

That's what people are trying to explain when they say this isn't PPV level. There's no way this does over 200k buys, he's not fighting Leo Santa Cruz.

And with the pandemic there's no way this does a 2M+ gate either.

Great points as usual! Pitbull Cruz-Gonzalez is IBF #2, and WBA #3. I think PBC should make Rolando Romero vs. Cruz-Gonzalez, winner faces Tank! Colbert is fighting Gamboa (Why I don't know) but I think Tank vacates that WBA "Super" title @ 130 soon! Wouldn't mind seeing Colbert vs. GRJ for that strap later this year! I guess GRJ will be facing Rey Vargas sometime soon? You never know with GRJ!

Josh said if he wins, he wants Crawford ASAP! Good idea?
