Good article man! People always hating on this guy for his mouth! Don't mistake his arrogance for trying to sell his self in this sport. Only a few good softspoken fighters ever make it to the level he is at. I'm proud of the guy and all other boxers should learn a lesson...at least in how to deal with promoters and their future.

yeah when floyd was on top , boxing was maybe as dead as it has ever been, as soon as pacman was there it started to rise again , maybe oscar and ricky were chumps against pacman , but he also did everything in his power to knock them out. most fans like that, i know i do. i dont wanna see a fighter take the safe road to victory which floyd does and he is great at it , but its boring and ruins a sport full of true warriors. I WANT BLOOD. I WANT 12 ROUNDS OF NON STOOP ACTION, something pacquiao has done many times , and floyd has never come close to accomplishing.

Nobody even cares much when mayweather 'retired' since everyone knows it's just a gimmick. He just thought that with his 'retired' status he will still regain his popularity when he comes back. Unfortunately for him, there is someone more charismatic than him who took over as the P4P best. BTW the only reason why he got high PPV buys is with his last two fights is that both his opponents were far more popular than him and the fans of the opponets were the one who purchased the PPV in the hope of seeing them try to bust mayweather's ass. He is also lucky that those fights happened before the onset of the economic downturn in the US and UK. I will bet that the PPV results for his coming bout with marquez will do between 300-500 PPV buys only.

If he beats Cotto its because he (cotto) was damaged goods from Marg. If he beats Mosley its because he's old. If he goes on to fight PWILL (unlikely) its because of the catchweight (which im sure would happen if it DID happen). etc etc etc....

Because Pacquaio already proved he can fight in the higher class while carrying both his speed and power while Marquez slowed down tremendously when he moved up to light weight. Now imagine what will happen to marquez when he adds 10 more pound.

Also add the fact Marquez is not even close as athletic as Pacquaio. He dont have the speed, power, and strength that pacquaio had. How do you think pacquaio had a close fight with marquez while being far less skilled.

Who did he fight? Wasnt Oscar or Hatton...... The zombiefied Oscar wasnt the same guy Mayweather faced (FACT). Hatton was done 2 years ago (FACT). Mayweather "DESTROYED" him.

I said from day one that Pac would beat Hatton to the point that people would actually think he could beat Mayweather. Wrong........ I like Pac, he's an ATG BUT he's not Mayweather GREAT.

Floyd never starts convo about Pac. Media drills it at him. Look back at the interviews. He always says Im here to talk about Marquez.

Floyd never stop talking about Pacquiao having been KOed and him without a loss since he announced his fight with JMM. He talked more about Pacquiao in their press conference more than JMM. Floyd rarely talks about JMM.

Now they refer to Pacquiao as "another fighter" after people lambasting them for using Pacquiao's name.
