there is almost a thin line between cotto and the word overrated...

How is Cotto overrated when hes fighting Manny Pacquiao in his own division and is still considered an underdog???? Have you seen Cottos resume? Your comment is wrong if anything its the other way around

Damn he keeps calling Hatton "overrated". Has Hatton said anything about this? I've would love to see a fight between these two...maybe at a catchweight?

I can't believe people think Cotto is tough enough to take Pacquiao's shots for 12 rounds. It baffles me.

It baffles me that u think cotto wont hit back when pacman comes with combos which will slow pacmans onslaught after he feels a real WW's power!!!Also the fact that u think cotto cant take 12 round of pac is funny as hell because he's taken bombs from from mosley and didn't budge,bricks from margarito and took a knee in the 11th,and finally flush shots from clottey and cotto didnt go down!!(sorry for the crazy run on sentences)If any thing the only way i see pacman winning is by outpointing cotto but even still it will be tough because cottos a smart fighter who can make adjustments in gameplan in the ring!!

This is debatable, a mutual sparring partner felt Pacman hit harder than Margarito... without the plaster. Once loaded with rocks however, said sparring partner's thoughts changed as the loaded rocks began to melt his face..

..And this is the beating Cotto took for 11 rounds without any bones getting broken. So Manny can finish him with a single shot like some of these huggers believe knowing that? I seriously doubt this.

i agree .they think cotto is hatton, if margarito whom is 5-11 and a very long reach couldnt really ko cotto where do they get pac will? pac knockdown jmm 4 times and even then could not finish him, and that was at featherweight! most likely will be either a points victory for pac or a ko for cotto.pac looks invincible right now because of strategic picks of opponents that are tailor made for him not because he's all that.put mosley in there with pac and well see how good pac is garunteed hell ko pac inside the distance,theres nothing pac does to get out of the way of straight well timed right hands,morales,jmm,did that and mosley would for sure do the same but even worse!

even if pac wins hes in for a serious beating, cotto may only be at 90% but thats more than enough to put an asswhupping on pac.

Ok...IMO, again Cotto takes this one. Pacman has speed. The guy has the fastest hands...even DLH said it. But guess what...SSM and Judah had speed too...and you really can't downplay either of those guys speed, granted they might not be where they were 4-5 years ago but they are pretty damn quick. The real reason why I believe Cotto will take this one? TIMING. That's it. Number 1 - Cotto was able to time clottey before clottey let that shot go...Cotto slid in and put that jab in his face...(off balance or not...Clottey did not see that coming) 2. Cotto really did a good job with Margo for the fight he let those punches go before Margo could and slid out. (Remember it's about time not "gassing out") number 3. Finally TIMING is what gave so many problems to Pacman, in both his fights with Marquez...Marquez was able to "outthink" pacman (Jim Lampley 2nd fight)
My conclusion...Speed kills, but when you have an experienced person who can time speed like Cotto has in his past fights with "speed/Boxer-types", coupled with the idea that pacman who had trouble with a person (Marquez) who can TIME a punch...I don't see Pacman surving well timed punches from a legit WW. Both are good respectively, but again...people can't count Cotto out he is alot smarter th an people give him credit for. Someone here said it...too PACMAN walked into a trap. A well timed trap.

Many people don't realize but when Cotto was stopped in 11th round by margarito two judges had Margarito ahead by a score of 96–94 at the time of the stoppage, while the third scored the fight even. So Cotto was doing ok until the "constant offensive pressure" of Margarito finally made the difference. Remember, Pacquiao does NOT put "constant offensive pressure" on opponents, but cotto does put pressure on fighters with speed (judah, malinaggi,etc)

Awright, Cotto did some history, tried to make Pacamang look like a made to order box of chocolota !

Lets do some nice history for Cotto:

1. He has a great fight with Judah: Judah shakes him with that left early but Judah is exposed but not by Cotto but by Cory Spinks and confirmed by that dude that took his ww title, never can remember his name, Baltomir , yeah that its ! So really you must expect Cotto to do a number on Judah but Cotto shouldn't have taken that punishment from Judah!

2. Cotto was exposed in the Mosley fight. Mosley off and on due to training with his dad, by the way a much greater fighter under his present trainer, didn't pick up the fight until the later rounds in which we saw Cotto being exposed.

This is where you are cussing and screaming , this guy knows nothing lada dada da stuff rolling in yore ,,,,,, and just going crazy.

Cotto fights one way, thats coming in with body shots then head shots and you are out.

This is his first fight with someone sitting on the clouds ! What does he do in the TRENCHES ?????????? RUNS !!!!!!! and GLAD OF IT, I remember saying HMMMMMM !!!!!! LOOKED LIKE A BAD SIGN !!!!!!!!!

GO AHEAD you that cussssssss and sit in yore ,,,,,,,,,, !!!!!!!

Thats not the nature of his style of fighting to cut and run UNLESS his heart told him We GOTTA PROBLEM HERE !

3. Margo had the balls to show us WHAT COTTO WAS REALLY MADE OF :

a. That Cotto was fast and can really throw punches.

b. That his chin is truly flawed, that those early fights
were not flukes, hence the 6 th or 7 th round.

c. Remember Cotto the "WARRIOR", from the 7 th
round on wanted to run but Margo wouldn't let him
get away for a moment !

d. Margo took Cotto to new heights, places he had
never been and COTTO COULDN'T TAKE IT SO HE
QUIT !!!!!!!

HE AIN'T NEVER FORGOT IT !!!!!!!!!!! PROOF IN HIS LAST TWO FIGHTS !!!!!!!!!

Funny thing i really realy hope that pac-man wins this fight, just so i can hear what cotto's camp will say!!!

I truly believe it will be a very good fight, this fight sells itself, no need for cotto to try to disparage pac-man's boxing career!!!
