Back in June, a few days before Miguel Cotto would step in the ring at Madison Square garden to defend his WBO welterweight title against Joshua Clottey, I spoke with Paulie Malignaggi about the possible maneuvering by Top Rank to match Cotto with Manny Pacquiao. Three years ago, also in Madison Square Garden, Malignaggi lost a twelve round decision to Cotto, and took a vicious beating along the way. Back in June, Malignaggi refused to believe Top Rank's possible plan to place Pacquiao in the same ring with Cotto. He quickly picked Cotto as the winner and said he was too physically big and too strong. [details]

Paulie would never fight Pac and knows nothing till he steps in the ring and then he can compare Cotto to Pac; with no experience to base your judgement on, you have shiet.

[Anybody else find it ironic that we are on a thread where everybody gets to post their opinion (experienced or not) yet we can easily dismiss and ridicule an actual boxer's opinion. Just saying. He might be wrong but he did feel those punches. None of us here can say that.

And Nonito Donaire will knock Concepcion out!
It's all a matter of opinion.
It's pointless to challenge a rhetorical statement.
If it was Nonito Donaire promising to knock out Concepcion and failing to do so, it'd have been a different story.

Paulie knows first hand what Cotto can do as he suffered a broken jaw early in their fight while bravely sticking through and losing a punishingly close fight (for Paulie).
Manny has nothing that Cotto hasn't seen before... speed he has seen against southpaw Judah and Mosley... He handled it easily... The question is not what Cotto is going to do... its what is Manny going to do when those ******* shells start hitting his body... I think we are in for a bad beating and "reality check" as Paulie said...
