Once again, in 1995 when Pacman started to fight "PRO" boxers at 106 Cotto was fighting guys like Ivan Calderon at 105 as an amateur.

Pacman will never be able to fight again at 135 because he has grown into his natural weight which is 140, He is such a great work out, well condition boxer with a better life style than others that he was able to stay in lower weights for a longer period of time. Once again props to him, but from now on we will only be seeing Pacquiao fight at 140 and 147 because that is his natural weight an although i admit that Cotto is heavier he will not have a great advantage in size like most people think because he's only 1/2" taller and have the same reach that Pacman has.

140 is his new home, but he could probably go back down to 135 if he wanted to.

I really doubt it at this point in his career and if does he will really be weight drained. He will not be losing weight in fat and he will have the same problems that Cotto had when trying to make 140.

He could probably go back to 135 and beat some of the fighters there but he won't be as succesful as in the past.

Just to give you an example and this is just my opinion.

Right now Pacquaio will have more success against JMM at 140 or 147 than fighting JMM at 135

I think pac will win against jmm at 135 the way jmm struggled against diaz. jmm will win at 130. but pac wont fight at 135 now. not bcause he can't make it, but bcoz the big fights is at 140-147. if the big fights are at 135, he should have stayed their. but cotto will never make it at 140.

Once fighters move up in weight specially when they do it building there body up with muscles not the natural fat due to age or any other matter (eating ,lifstyle stc..) it's way more difficult to get rid of that weight specially when he is the 30's already.

I agree with you that if the money fight would had been at 135 he would had stayed there and i would add that he will have had the same success as in the past however that only if he wouldn't have gain the weight he has for the last 2 fights.

He can probably fight once at 135 fight but not to stay there and finish his career.

Well, i really hope Cotto wins. not that i dont like Pacquiao, its just that i like Cotto a little bit more. unfortunately, i do believe that Pac-man will win this one, unless Cotto has something figured out. if Pacquiao keeps his distance and uses his speed, and dont let Cotto time him he will win. and i think he is good enough to do just this.

                  but still, Go Cotto!
