what if: Roy Jones Jr. vs. Jermain Taylor? (today)

They both recently fought and defeated Jeff Lacy.

Who wins if they were to fight each other, present time?

This would be the matchup of the most matched up characters in Fight Night Round 3 online! Taylor vs. Jones was very common online, in my experiences.

RJ beats his ass. Taylor has no stamina, and I don't trust his chin anymore. RJ ain't touchin the top dogs now, but he could beat Jermain.

Taylor knocks Roy out. Other then a smaller shot to **** Lacy, go watch any other fight with Roy since the first Tarver fight then vote.

Man Pavlik KO'ed Taylor with the ol "1-2 Jab Right hand" time after time, minute after minute, round after round....he couldnt Stop that..... Roy would be too fast and too smart for Taylor, Taylor keeps his hands down, sub par defense and is a sucker for a right hand & body shot. Taylor hasnt KO'ed someone since 2005 @ MW, he couldnt KO Spinks a WW/JMW, yet he would KO RJJ @ SMW or LHW?

IDK maybe Taylor has displayed a variety of stamina, discipline & skill that i've missed.....................

Jermain Taylor is one of my favorite fighters

but Roy's speed alone would be too much for jermain....

The rejuvenated Roy from Saturday night can beat alot of people, including Jermain Taylor. Jermain isn't an easy night for anybody, but I think Roy might get a stoppage victory. He might just be a little too big and strong for Taylor. Here's hoping the fight never happens...

Hard to say, Taylor is a good technical boxer puncher, but not a knockout puncher. He would give Jones a good deal of trouble, although Roy is still fairly crafty.

I would say Taylor SD, because Roy could finish up stronger.

Jones could win the fight, people act like Jones is crippled or something. The man can fight and with his skill set and dedication to staying fit he has can literally make a case for him. Let's not forget when Jones faced Calzaghe, Joe was considered by some a p4p#1 and Jones had him down and refused to be KO'd even with his so called "Questionable" chin. Fact is Jones hasn't been down in 5 years and even the great Joe Calzaghe lmao could not put his glass chin down, even after cutting Jones and causing problems jones has never dealt with on that level he neither quit or even let joe impose his will to the point of a KO. Plus if joe Calzaghes fans feel he has the highest workrate in boxing and that wasn't enough to KO Jones then why can't Jones continue fighting some good fights? He looked great and let's be honest the sport we love is in trouble and had a bad year Jones was something positive, an impressive and entertaing performance that showcased Jones speed which even now few on the planet can match, so lets not force him out the door so fast he capable of fighting some good fights and he may even shock some people. Why try to discredit something from the sport cause y'all wanna hate on Jones (Those who do). Bottom line the guy has the right to fight and he doing well right now and hate it or love it Jones can win some fights, what if Jones at 40 is getting revived like Hop did from 40 til 45, just sayin let him fight and give him some credit he fighting and winning impressive so let him dod what he was born to do.
