True, I think if cotto fights margarito 10 times margarito wins 8 of 10, same as cotto would beat mosley 8 of 10. Margarito is a big boy and have to give Cotto credit for lasting 11 rds and not being put down. Cotto took knees but did not get knocked out.

Cotto fights better when fighting quick fighters like mosley, judah, malinaggi and other fighter with speed. They tend to dominate in beginning and then Cotto just breaks down their speed with all the punches to the body.

I watched that fight the other day too.. I'm a huuuge Cotto fan and i support all my bori fighters BUT what I saw was Margo eating shot after shot after shot.. that's why Cotto lost.. Did he use plaster? Maybe but it can't be proven.. I just don't understand why he would cheat against SSM but not cheat against Cotto who just beat SSM like 8 months prior?? I mean if he beat Cotto fair and sqaure why did he feel the need to cheat against Shane? Another thing I don't get (and this has nothing to do with plaster) is how Marg couldn't handle Sugar's shots but he ate Cotto's like they were poptarts.. I don't believe Shane hits harder than Cotto? But then again he did land more shots so maybe it was his speed... As far as the plaster could it be Cotto's shots became less effective (slower and weaker) as Margo broke him down with the plaster bc isn't the plaster supposed to harden as the fight continues? I think I remember Cotto saying that it wasn't Margo punches that hurt him but the fact that he kept taking Cotto's shots.. That's almost like saying the plaster didn't make a difference.. IDK Margo should be banned for life tho..esp after the whole Resto fiasco

just watched the cotto vs marg fight and cotto face wasn,t swollen up at all it was just that he couldn,t breath and his nose was swollen... now look at the hopkin vs joppy fight and joppy looked like he was beaten with a pipe... now if anyone knows boxing then you know that trinidad use to wrap his hand illegally and pretty much ruined reid, joppy and lets not forget vargas... i keep thinking of the joppy saying he had never been hit that hard before in life and i know a lot of people will say well, tito is a ****er and you just can,t stand in front of him but come on... just my opinion but, if marg was using wraps he would have stopped cotto way sooner then he did and would have really damaged him...cotto head would have looked like a pumkin right??? hey guys, don,t get me wrong by saying hopkins had illegal wraps against joppy, but he pretty much blowed joppy face up with does straight righthands...boxing need to sanction people who will observe fighter preparation before stepping into the ring and ending a boxer career... and i still say that marg used no illegal wraps what so ever now thats my opinion and if you like to comment you can give yours...

I dont believe that Margarito used wraps in the Cotto fight. Dont tell me Cottos corner didnt check his wraps.

one of the main arguments of cotto's legal team against evangelista is that he didn't arrive on time to the fight, so no one was sent to margo's room

so yeah, cotto's corner did not check the wraps and they alone are responsible for it. they paid the price of not knowing if their fighter got beat up legitimately or by plaster

EDIT: mosley was on roids years ago. in any case, the effect of the steroids was stronger in his cotto fight than in his margie fight, yet margie was still ****d... he was even smiling throughout the pounding

Im sure if the roles were reversed you'd be making threads about Cotto using plaster until the end of time.

The reality is we might never know if he really used the wraps against Cotto, but we also have our own opinion and theories of logic, and logic 9 Xs out 10 tells us if he was caught using plaster in one fight, the chances he used them prior are very very high.

we don't know if margo used plaster against cotto. all we know is that margo attempted to use plaster against mosley.
