The American boxer will take on Kelly Pavlik on the same date. [details]

If he fights a few good fighters till then.Tsurkan is his best win and that is not a good fighter.

Dzinziruk is a very good fighter.

I dont know, I thought Vanes' win over Tsurkan was pretty noteworthy.
Mostly only because hes only like 23...but In a few years he should be set.

It was noteworthy from the POV that he stepped up.But Tsurkan really ain't nothing but a punching bag now.I hope he retires.

But Dzinziruk is on another level from Vanes. He'd beat him right now pretty easy IMO.

Personally I think Dzinziruk's fight with Santos is one of the best technical fights ever.

well... if Vanes went up against any of the 4 current Champions, I'd say he does best against Spinks..

I think Martinez is the best champ, followed close by Dzindziruk, then Santos, then Spinks.

of course PWilliams is one of the biggest threats at 154 too...

aside from them, Vanes should do real well against all the other prospects including Angulo who is way too slow for him... Chavez Jr is a joke... Kirkland's career is up in the air... Sergio Mora is another good win for Vanes... Joe Greene is tough... Foreman is a boring decision win for Vanes

I would pick Spinks to beat all of them. The verdict is still up in the air on Martinez as he has only beat Buenema. Santos doesn't impress me. And I have never seen Dzraaarrrghh fight before. Spinks is a very good boxer that doesn't mind exchanging. I still say he beat JT. Spinks has been a very good Champ over the last few years. He has lost a few fights, but won more, and he never ducks anyone. I would pick Spinks to beat Floyd at 154.

Don't forget Sturm leaving them, too. For the very same reasons, I assume.

Good move, at 33 years old he can't afford to screw around much longer. Not sure the Williams fight was winnable for him, but it would have gotten his name out there.
