I do recall Bob Arum promised to match Cotto with Pacquiao in return for renewing his contract as promoter, because Cotto was pissed at Arum re-Margarito and did now want to renew his contract which expires this year.

Cotto agreed, sacrificing his ideals, future slavery under Bob Arum just to fight Manny Pacquiao.

So Cotto and Arum actually made this match happen, with Arum enticing Pacquiao to watch Cotto`s fight, virtually hypnotizing him alongside the seats.

Welterweight Belt by fighting a bum in Kelson Pinto just as noone complained when given the vacant WBO Welterweight Belt by fighting another bum in Jennings...
