More and more American fighters are going to have to come and fight in Europe

With the way things are going soon the old excuse of "he hid in europe" is pretty much going to be reversed. While American boxing is supposedly on the wane European boxing is getting stronger and stronger.

I don't mean just in a sense of who has the better boxers but also in levels of interest. European fights regularly sell out massive 60,000 seat football stadiums, while US mega fights struggle to get 10,000 into small arenas.

I predict venues like the O2 and Shalke stadium will be the madison square gardens of the future and that European fans will at last get to see the best american fighters in person and not on tv

Boxing is a world sport. I would rather that world boxing champion be the best fighter in the whole world, not just south and not american continents.

Until then europe will play 2nd fiddle.

The only reason why boxers go to europe now is cause euro boxers hold the title hostage in their home country.

i dont think that will ever happen although there is alot of money in europe, there will always be money to cash in the usa, thats why you have eruopean fighters like arthur abraham saying he wants to come fight in america, calzaghe and hatton never saw a pay check as big as when they came over. the "he hid in europe" statement is because you will not find talent in europe like there is in the american continent. you just cant match the talent in u.s.a., mexico, puerto rico, cuba, dominican republic, panama, venezuela, colombia, and so on.
