Is Victor Ortiz finished? will he bounce back?

What do you guys think will happen with Victor, is he finished, or just had a bad game plan?

Bad gameplan, that's all. If he sticks to boxing rather than brawling, he'll be fine otherwise.

    Ah belieeeeeve!

He's going to have a bad stigma attached to him unless he finishes fights but I don't think that means he's done. He certainly needs to show a lot of heart in his next fight. Mostly it depends on the followers and the promoters.

Maidana is a bum, he couldn't get past him coz he has NO HEART. He has no business with top competition if he has no heart, he aint that good of a boxer to keep top fighters away boxing either.

He gotta take an easy fight or 2 to regain confidence. That **** he said after the fight was awful to hear from a fighter. He can come back, but nobody will take him seriously til he wins in a tough fight, which he may not take for a while.

How is he finished,he's only 22?

People need to understand that 1 loss doesn't mean the end for a boxer.

He just needs a easy fight for confidence and then jump right back in the mix.

no he is not finished. The kid will bounce back. I dont like when people write fighters off after a loss. Sometimes people take sets backs in their career and use them for motivation to come back BETTER than ever. He is young and he has time on his side and he is a tough guy. We will see him again and he will be better than before.

Ortiz has one loss, cut him some slack. He is young and can come back from this.

Call me crazy but I think this could have been the worst and the best thing to happen to him, it just depends on what is inside his chest that will determine that.

A lot of fighters lost early on in their careers, this is nothing new. For some reason a lot fo you younger guys think you have to go undefeated forever in order to be considered great and that is ridiculous.

Fighters, like anyone else, grow with time. Some get better and more focused, some get lazy and complacent. What will happen with Ortiz is up to him. He's a great prospect and has all the physical tools. He took a great shot from Maidana, who is a very hard puncher and got up from it.

I just think he's been labeled the "New Golden Boy" that he has started believing it. Hopefully he is shamed by this loss and is begging to get back into the ring again as soon as possible and against Maidana as his opponent.

Hopefully he will bounce back from this but I'm sick an tired of hearing how tough his life was. We all have had rough lives, shut the *** up and kick ass in the ring, that's all I want to know about you....
