Cotto Taking No Chances, Starts Training For Pacquiao

WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is taking no chances. With several months to go before his November 14 bout with Manny Pacquiao, the Puerto Rican champion has already begun training for the fight. Cotto returned to the gym on Monday and did five rounds on the heavy bag, 40 minutes of running and several stretching exercises. He wants to hit the gym two to three times per week until August 24, when he plans to start training full time for the fight with Manny. He doesn't want stamina to become an issue in the late rounds. Good to hear, I wonder if he'll find a new trainer.

He's only jogging 3 days a weeks to start improving on stamina , by next month he will initiate heavy training mode. Meanwhile back wildcard gym The Roach is getting nervous and looking for any excuse to cancel the fight .
He took the bait thinking he saw a weak Cotto, but this was exactly what Cotto wanted everyone to think.

He won't, Dan Rafael said it'll be Joe Santiago, which means either no or a ****ty game plan.

He better be training this early if he wants a small chance to beat Pacquiao. But if he loses, which is likely to happen, Cotto will have another excuse that he's overtrained.
