That we all find so goddamn irresistible?
Is it his million dollar smile?

Is it his humble, fan friendly demeanor? The fact that he gave us one of the best fights of all time against the equally great Miguel Cotto?
Is it because we can relate to his hardworking ,honest, grinder style? A man who's been fighting since the age of 15, earning his bones the honest way while fighting grown men. Taking his lumps in the process and learning on the job without the privilege of an amateur background or HBO hype help. (see Berto)
The fact that he received news of his brothers murder and went out and fought for his memory?
How many of us can say we would exhibit the same strength of character to do something so courageous?
Is it the fact that he sold more seats at Staples Center than has ever been recorded?
Is it his exciting fighting style? Or the fact that he is a sadist who smiles when taking the bombs of opponents and shakes his head to ask for more?
Is it because he knew that coming out against Mosley in the 9th meant certain death, yet he did it anyway?
Is it because he is a great family man who loves his wife and honors her like a true gentleman?
There has to be a reason as to why the mere mention of this mans name engenders such passion. Why stories about him generate 30 page threads and fuels rivalries amongst boxing fans that border on bloodlust.
Antonio Margarito may be boxings most compelling figure if judged by BS standards. The man is far and away the most talked about, revered and notorious figure known to this site.
And for that I'm proud of being his biggest fan.
Long live the legend that is Antonio Margarito.
Viva Tijuana Cabrones!!!
